This intrigues me for a couple of reasons:

They give the mailing addresses as well as the full names of the fans (mostly young girls) who sent in designs. Guess stalking wasn’t a concern.

Several of the designs are credited to multiple people in different locations. Since the images appear to have been produced by the comic’s regular illustrator based on drawings sent by the readers, I suppose that if they received several similar entries, they made a hybrid design and credited everyone who’d inspired it.

The swimsuit on the top right has pockets.
