Huge Carved Ammonite Fossil Skull
Intriguingly, if you go to the source or even just google “ammonite skull”, apparently there’s a whole like, genre out there of skulls carved into the rock surrounding fossilized ammonites. The skull and ammonite are gorgeous but the google image results on the search are fascinatingly weird.
It’s true, a lot of them are very Gigeresque.
