I’m at a total loss as to how the Hangman’s Alley settlement has like 24 people and two brahmin living in it.  The whole area is smaller than this house, I had to build a precarious, shoddy series of ramps and walkways and some of them run into each other and ppl are sleeping on roofs and there’s this one settler whose entire existence is apparently dependent on hammering.  Just hammering.  One spot on one wall.  She never moves, she never stops, she just stands there hammering as though she’s afraid of what will happen if the hammering ceases

It’s so overpopulated and cluttered that there’s fruit bushes growing next to beds and it’s so thick with people that it’s easier to take the ramps and jump over shack roofs than it is to try to walk through the crowd

There are like 15 other settlements, people!  Why are you all flocking to a squalid alley adjacent to supermutants and raiders where the hammering and gunfire never stop, night and day, where home is a mattress on a rickety roof with a staircase that leads to nowhere hanging off it??

It’s got a welcoming atmosphere?
