Hitler aside, I’m amazed at the logic of the guy trying to agree with the economic difficulties/immigrants as a burden one. The obvious response would be “yeah, in tough times we’ve got to look after our own first,” but I guess that wasn’t optimistic enough, so he sprang for “once our economy improves, no one will want to move here,” which I can’t even.
