Weird Gilbert & Sullivan productions: a Mikado with everyone in retro-futurist body stockings (but patterned with Japanese designs); one opera (not sure which one) with the action transferred to a baseball stadium; Morrissey singing the lead role.
I think I was watching/reading about these in a public library, while around me people discussed how libraries are potentially everyone’s second living room, especially in summer if your home doesn’t have air conditioning (that said, the guys smuggling in coolers of beer were probably risking eviction from this library).
