Sasha Bell, a 19-year-old Michigan mother who was the first to file a suit on behalf of the children in Flint, Michigan, over the contaminated water in that city, was found shot dead on Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Another woman, Sacorya Reed, was also found dead in the home where Bell was discovered. An infant was also discovered in the home uninjured, though it is not known at this point if this was Bell’s son.
Bell’s lawsuit targeted multiple companies that played a role in treating and monitoring the safety of the water in Flint during the crisis, as well as government workers who the suit claimed were guilty of misconduct. According to Stern, Bell’s case will move forward with a representative for her child. (x)
Now another potential witness in the case against the government of Flint, Michigan, where predominantly poor communities of color have been affected by their government’s ineptitude and criminal behavior, has been found dead.
Matthew McFarland worked as a foreman at Flint’s Water Treatment plant and three of his employees are facing criminal charges for their cover-up of the water crisis. As a result, McFarland had already been questioned as part of the investigation; although, we’re now highly unlikely to ever know what investigators learned from him.(x)
The media tries to present this cases as accidents.
But even Bell’s lawyer says that “It’s really her son’s case”.
Are we going to believe the corrupt media or are we going to wake up and listen to the facts?
Big corporations cover up their naked asses by removing people who can affect their business. Innocent Black people of Flint were under attack and now the system targets those who didn’t want to accept the situation.
