I hate in high fantasy stories whenever someone’s talking about a legend or rumor and someone else goes “but that’s just a fairy tale!” like… dawg you ran into literal fairies three chapters ago, remember? And you mean to tell me in this magical world there is a clear divide between “ridiculous and unbelievable stories of mythical creatures” and “stories about mythical creatures that you meet up with every Tuesday”?
in fairness, it’s not mythical to them (except the stories where it is) it’s just some creatures that exist. On some universe the idea of people seeing a squirrel run by is probably just as fantastic, yet we don’t convene with wizards.
