Several people call it the uncanny valley of kinks and I gotta agree. You’re not sure what someone was going for and it might be entirely tame but its done with such indulgence that you can never be sure and in that moment of doubt springs the sensation of off-ness.
I feel like this applies to a lot of stuff – if I see someone in an outfit that shows a lot of skin, I’m usually just “well, good on them for feeling comfortable with their body.” If I see someone in a *sort of* see-through garment, I can’t tell if it’s deliberate and I start worrying whether I ought to be embarrassed for them or not.
