PSA: Milo Yianoppoulos will be speaking to a sold out auditorium at UC Boulder tomorrow evening.
Laverne Cox will be speaking at UC Boulder, too, but she’s not getting the same press coverage.
Anyone in the Boulder, Colorado area,
I still believe there are tickets available to see Laverne Cox’s speech.Yianoppoulos’ speech sold out, and there’s expected to be protesters and
alt-rightneo-Nazi supporters there, as well as a police presence. Yianoppoulos feeds off of his controversies; he is a troll. Don’t give him a platform. Don’t even acknowledge he exists.Instead of protesting Yianoppoulos, go directly support Laverne Cox, please!!!
Edit: I checked UC Boulder’s website again & tickets to Cox’s speech have sold out, but still go give her love and support!
Reblogging the corrected version, with the good news that Laverne Cox has a sold out crowd!
No. no no no no no.
focus on Milo. don’t tell people not to protest fascists.
She’s got a full house, she and her audience don’t need more attention drawn to them on a night like that. We’re at a point where you should go to Laverne only if there’s spillover from Milo’s event threatening her and her audience’s safety (which is not outside the realm of possibility)
the priority right now is to humiliate the fascists and get them off the public platform they’ve secured for themselves.
key takeaway: never never never and i mean NEVER tell people not to protest a fascist. N E V E R
i’m not joking, one of these fascists have shot an antifa already at these events, humiliate milo and humiliate whatever campus groups are doing this
