Not to mention that, if Betsy DeVos’s agenda of school privatization goes through, it would probably bring with it a rapid acceleration in the resegregation of American education, beyond even current levels. This is literally portraying the perpetrator of an injustice as one of the victims of that very injustice.

One of the ways white people responded to public school desegregation in the 50s was to establish private schools which could still legally discriminate. Betsy DeVos and her charter schools are the inheritors of that movement.
I’d heard this cartoon mentioned earlier today but this is the first time I’ve seen it. Oh dear lord.
