Today, Irish people are on strike to demand a repeal of the 8th amendment, which restricts abortion access in almost any circumstance and has already led to several deaths and causes 12 women a day (on average) to travel internationally for basic healthcare.
Repeal.
This shit has been going on for decades, with no sign of action from the government in sight. People are ready to vote. Dublin city centre practically shut down for half the day yesterday with the march. Give us our fucking referendum.
