Hey if you like weird Scottish traditions the town of Stonehaven has this cool one at new year (or hogmanay in Scotland) where big dudes in kilts literally walk around swinging giant fireballs on chains. Traditionally they would stop at each house and get a dram of whisky before continuing the fireball march but I guess somebody realised that was kinda dangerous so now they go straight to the beach and throw them into the sea. THEN they have whisky.
