The most wild callout post I ever saw was when someone made a post about how callout posts need to stop, and someone added to that same post a callout post on the OP. It was a callout post on a callout post for callout posts.
Also remember the xkit dude? The single dude who dedicated himself to developing an app that made tumblr actually bearable to use entirely for free. Then someone thought he was kinda weird and a blog that was nothing but organized callout posts decided they needed to make a post telling people to be weary of the guy. So of course he got flooded with so much hate that the dude just up and quit.
I’m still fascinated by the callout post last year about the person who was stealing bones from cemeteries and selling them on the internet, and whose response was “it’s not grave-robbing if I just pick them up after they wash out of the ground.”
