tag urself I’m the millennials’ morbid fascination with death

I have never heard anyone, regardless of age, say “my phone’s battery has gone”

I’ve also heard batteries, lights, televisions, and engines referred to as “dying” since before anyone knew what an internet was and in media going back as long as all of those things have existed

its also so incredibly easy to flip this around. everyone goddamn says “the battery’s died” on something so, what “my battery has gone” they say. what like passed on? whats with our elders and their use of euphemism, its just a battery, we can take knowing that its dead without being oblique about it

EVERYONE says batteries are dead when they run out. Ask my 70 something dad, who’s been saying it for years.
