Oh man, I love the Monday after a conference. Everyone has gone home and looked through their business cards and sent out their LinkedIn requests, and you get a weird peek into like…how people cope with a social media platform where the whole point is to sell your professional talents as effectively but subtly as possible. 

This one dude who just followed me opens his profile with a bland inspirational quote…and then credits himself at the end of it. Like fella…just say the words…no need to tell us you wrote them, it’s your linkedin profile, we’ll work it out. 

I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. He’s management at an institution that is notorious within the industry for poor decision-making…
