So…
You might be wandering why did i just reblog a bunch of photos of police officers, gendarmes (kinda like military police), and police brutality. Well, the thing is this images are all from yesterday (December 13th) and today (December 14th) in Argentina. The government is trying to pass a bill that will make retired people earn less money than what they are getting already (which is peanuts as it stands). This is something they’ve been trying to do with many other special aids and stuff (they already ‘mistakenly’ removed thousands of people from disability aid or gave them less money). They are also planning on passing a new labour reform that if approved makes for some horrible changes like people being hired for undetermined amounts of time, non-paid after hours, and so more. This is also accompanied by dissapearence and later discovery of Santiago Maldonado’s dead body, who is presumed to have been murder by gendarmes during represion to a Mapuche protest; and cold blodded murder by a naval prefect of Rafael Nahuel, a young Mapuche teen. Protesters are being systematically repressed and the level of violence used is escalating, and all our president does is taking vacation days. So yeah, i kinda went on a rant there, but please keep Argentina in your thoughts. We want to defend what’s ours, but they want to take it all, so please just keep us in mind
I encourange everyone outside Argentina to reblog this
