Sorry for barging in on a community issue but males don’t get to be witches

Historical witchcraft was comprised of men and women. Most of the people in Iceland that were killed for witchcraft were men. The coven of Isobel Gowdie had men in it. George Pickingall was a male witch.

In contemporary witchcraft we have Gerard Gardner, Alex Sanders, and Robert Cochrane. Without these men, contemporary witchcraft wouldn’t exist. We would have no Wicca, no traditional witchcraft.

We have Andrew Chumbley, Daniel Shulke, Robin Artisson, Nigel Pearson, Nigel Jackson, and a host of others.

In short, you’re wrong.

Hey so trans lady mod here, and whilst this would be a good response if shitheel here were talking about men, they’ve actually got the thing tagged “#t.” This person is a trans-exclusionary radical feminist (terf), saying that trans women (“males”) can’t be witches.

So I’m gonna say, firstly, may calamity visit your house and set up shop there, may your hands and tongue be as barren as your pathetic soul, may you be keenly aware in your deathbed of the rejection of all Gods, Powers, and Ancestors…

And secondly: it would legitimately be a shorter list to note the historical and living cultures who DON’T associate trans people with mysticism. Goddamn, you could at least ATTEMPT the slightest of self-education with, say, the Gallai, two-spirits, and seidr practitioners, as a start.

Don’t try to hide your painfully modern chucklefuckery behind the name of the Unseen Power, for it shall bite those who attempt to wield its authority on false pretence.
