Kilz latex primer does battle with Evil Red Accent Wall Junior (senior is the one with the patched holes).

The paint agent at the hardware store made the most amazing face when I showed her a chip of the red. I said “this is the front entry wall of my new home. I need something that will cover this” and she blurted “oh thank god, I thought you wanted me to match the color.”
