I’ve seen this post, or variants on it, before. Thing is, I really
think there is a difference between:

1. Confiding things in a face-to-face conversation vs. confiding them in text
2. Confiding in someone who knows your name, possibly where you live, and who you’ll keep encountering in social situations vs. confiding in strangers who don’t know your identity and who you’re unlikely to have to face at a job interview two days later
