pencil and ink, gashadokuro

the point of the assignment was to use illustrative lines.

there’s nowhere to hide from the Skeleton King

Okay, but gashadokuro is INSANE. Coming in at 87 feet tall (about 15 times the size of an average human being,) gashadokuro is comprised of the bodies of those who have died during famine. Driven by hunger and thirst, they sate themselves by wetting their bones with the blood of the living, popping off their heads before emptying their bodies. To further add to the terror, these monsters are completely silent, apart from MAYBE a loud ringing in your ear. Their combination of invisibility and invulnerability leaves only one solution of you’re targeted: run. Run until you come upon a Shinto temple, which will often have talismans to turn away such threats, or pray that you can evade it until morning, at which point the shining light weakens the creature, like all other evil spirits.
