Before I forget! I want to keep it – As we were closing Shakespeare & company tonight, my friend played her violin for us in the front, and I tried hard not to cry shepherding people out, and when we locked the doors even when people were still looking inside, one of the other tumbleweeds put on music so we danced around the store putting books back in their homes, and Aggie the cat came down to stare and judge us, and purred and smiled, and on the way to the airport I passed the L’Oréal headquarters and one single light was on and my podcast started taking about war and grit and it reminded me of the research I did on the origins of beauty companies during the forties and all these terrible things that beauty has wrought and I cried all the way to the airport alone on the bus because everything is always just so much

I love it and it always breaks my heart
