my mobility aids are not a shameful secret that need to be hidden from the public. i am not accepting “pretty… despite the stick…” or “good looking… for a disabled person…” because fuck that! my stick is a beautiful device that improves my life and makes it easier. that is not a bad or shameful thing- that’s kickass!

so 2018 is the year of mobility aids and visibly disabled selfies without shame. disabled people deserve more visibility and damn it im not hiding any more.
