the constant conflation of judaism and israel is exactly what zionists want btw! if you can’t look at anything jewish, like holidays, like shoah memorials, like iconography, like the hebrew language, without associating those things with israel automatically, that’s because you’re falling for the idea that zionism is judaism, and vice-versa.

let jews speak hebrew, wear a magen david, celebrate our holy days, discuss being jewish, without you feeling the need to add “israel sucks, BUT” to every exchange. if it’s not about israel, then don’t make it about israel. that’s how you help keep judaism alive and separate from zionism.
