It is very clear that the function of grifters like Jordan Peterson is to funnel all the reactionary outrage of disaffected white men back into so-called “respectable” conservatism, where you support capitalism and the system with absolutely zero complaining, without doing anything whatsoever to solve any of the actual problems that created such a large base of disaffected white men in the first place. And I am honestly surprised it is working so well. Like I thought the 4chan folks were at least kind of exciting in a morbidly horrific sort of way. Like Jordan Peterson couldn’t possibly be more self-helpy white bread boring, and alt-right losers that had previously revelled in shock politics and controversy are welcoming him as if he is like their white savior.

Like Jordan Peterson is exactly the kind of “Here in my Gaaaarreaagggee” type of self-help nonsense that the internet normally wholesale rejects, and yet, the contingent of the internet more extremely online than anybody has embraced him as if he is somehow cool and edgy.

If anybody watches Jordan Peterson videos as if they are actually cool and edgy, boy oh boy, don’t tell these people about Dr Phil. Or like, my Dad at Thanksgiving.
