 I keep reading this to determine how it was written. There are indications that Trump may have actually written it himself. Some of the word choice, sentiment, and poor writing is very Trump-like. There is a sentence in there with like 50 commas that is just a travesty of wordcraft. I’m guessing he dictated it. Then someone proofread it and did their best to make it sound more official.

“I felt a wonderful dialogue was building up between you and me, and ultimately, it is only that dialogue that matters.”

I honestly have no clue what he is trying to say here. Is he referencing other dialogue with other people that didn’t matter? Is he saying that Kim’s talks with South Korea didn’t matter? Only the talks with the US matter? It’s just a confusing sentence to me. Maybe I’m too tired to figure out what he means. I don’t know. 

I noticed he talked about how massive and powerful our nuclear capabilities are. The nuclear dick measuring continues. 

This letter is a mess. I don’t know how his staff could let this be sent to anyone, much less shared with the press. This is a part of history. I feel like it should sound more distinguished. It sounds like an informal late-night email that you regret sending in the morning. 

And why is he signing things with a sharpie? Everything has to be extra with Trump. 

I was really hoping that South Korea could pull this off. I think their leadership did a ton of work and crafted an intelligent strategy for peace. Stroking Trump’s ego was an amazing chess move. But then Trump hired a walrus and it all went to shit. 

I still think progress was made and perhaps there is an infrastructure for future peace. I think it is safe to say that Twitter diplomacy has let us down.

I don’t think Trump will get his Nobel Prize. Not unless he writes an amazing novel and wins for literature. However, I do think Moon Jae-in of South Korea should be considered. It was a helluva try, for sure. 

My big question is… what do we do with these now? They made 275 of these bad boys. 

Such a fascinating design. Why is Kim Jong-Un taller than Trump? Why is he smiling and Trump is not? Why does it look like a poster for a WWE matchup?
