In Russia, railroad chapel cars are brought to the most remote regions of the country so that the locals can celebrate liturgy, receive baptism, etc.

The Russian Orthodox Church currently has around 10 train churches which are used to transport holy shrines and hold sermons. These carriages can be attached to regular trains and trains destined for a pilgrimage site.
