It is great to study colors doing master copies. Also trying to get painterly brush strokes in Photoshop is some kind of challenge. In the end I learned lot and found a new painting technique for myself.

This reminded me of an article I read years ago covering some lolita event. The reporter wrote something about how lolitas claimed lolita fashion was non-sexual, but he found it hard to believe after seeing the way they “seductively nibbled on cookies”
I don’t remember what the article was or what event it was covering, but I remember that one line because it just, like, filled me with so much rage. Like goddamn, maybe they just wanted to eat some fucking cookies, its not their fault you got a boner over it.

Race film actors were sometimes marketed as black counterparts to mainstream actors either for their similar physical appearance or similar roles. Oscar Micheaux did this often, even encouraging Carman Newsome, who at the time was working for Micheaux handling the sales and distribution of his films, to start acting based on his resemblance to Clark Gable.
Interestingly enough Lorenzo Tucker, who was dubbed the Dark Valentino by Micheaux, claimed Valentino was actually darker than him.
hey so denmark is most definitely becoming a nazi nation sooner rather than later. they’ve like done some really fucked up shit, but this might be one of the more messed up things i’ve come across from there.
the government is going to have outlined “ghetto zones” in a legal definition, wherein which they are going to have double punishment for any crime.
these areas will be areas with high populations of muslim, immigrant and worker class people. meaning they are planning to give double the amount of punishment to people for living in poorer neighbourhoods with large amount of minority people.
this is a very transparent act. and they are trying to justify it by claiming it’s about maintaining the safety and peace of the country.
but what it really means is… they are not even trying to hide that the police and prison system is about targeting minorities and poor people now… and it will not surprise me if they use this to escalate the en-masse detainments they’ve had.
These ‘ghetto’ areas are defined (among other criteria) as having more than 50% non-Western immigrant population they are also doing aggressive ethnic assimilation. They explicitly aren’t including white immigrants in this.
And they’re also doing aggressive ethnic assimilation:
