Ahklut

In Inuit mythology, the Ahklut is a hungry orca that shape-shifts into the form of a wolf in order to hunt on land. Wolf tracks emanating from and returning to sea ice is thought to be evidence that this formidable killer whale spirit has breached the surface of the water in search of prey.

The background design of my image was heavily inspired by the amazing work of Inuit artist, Kenojuak Ashevak.
