I’d take purgatory for $1.20/gal gas

I’m not sure how I feel about the title, because my initial reaction was “these everyday commercial spaces are actually quite beautiful and monumental when they’re depicted like this,” and then it turned into the usual “isn’t modern society awful,” unless I’m misunderstanding something.
