Things I like about this cartoon:
-It’s by Ben Garrison, who has been driven into some kind of dark recursive 4chan maze. It started when they edited his cartoons to make them more overtly racist, and then he, in some kind of weird internet Stockholm Syndrome, started catering to them.
-KKKman is teeny tiny, a baby racist
-Antifa Man is muscular and powerful, which really illustrates Umberto Eco’s ‘ur-fascism’ concept of the enemy being at once too powerful to comprehend and weak and whiny and a sissy (compare and contrast to Garrison’s cartoons about the Dreade SJW)
-Lady Liberty’s tablet says ‘July 4,’ for no reason
-People who say ‘virtue signaling’ with any kind of seriousness (people who aren’t signaling theorists) are probably not antifa. Antifa will call it ‘performative’ instead. The vast majority of folks online who use ‘virtue signaling’ are alt-right, shitty rationalists, or some intersection thereof. It didn’t start that way, but now it’s a shibboleth. I know who Garrison is reading.
