Colleague (who hasn’t seen me in a while): I love your pink hair!
Sam: Oh, thanks! It was a lot more even and vivid a few weeks ago.
Colleague: Oh, I like the faded look. I figured you did that on purpose, because of mermaids.
Sam: Because of, of mermaids?
Colleague: Yeah, you know, the mermaid look is really in.
Sam: Is this like a mermaid look?
Colleague: Well, merman. But yeah! You’ve got a mer look.I’ve got a mer look, guys.
*tosses hair, which does not work because it is only an inch long*
Oh man this was tagged “#seapunk?” which just delights me to no end.
Seapunk really is a thing, though. Well, opinions seem to vary on whether it’s a real Thing, or a Thing people started as a joke, but I don’t believe there’s all that much of a difference.
