Y’all have seen the video with a man running with his kangaroo on a leash through the streets of Detroit. The media immediately called him a “crackhead”.
However, the truth is that this man, Javon Stacks, is a legit businessman. He has required state and federal licenses as other zoo’s to work with animals. The man and “The Exotic Zoo” organize any kind of events bringing a “zoo” to a client. All this is made for people who haven’t got an opportunity or expense to travel to the zoo themselves. So the video was taken during a kid’s birthday party.
Stacks says that Exotic Zoo educates kids about mammals, reptiles, predators, prey, the food chain and more. It’s a simple way to learn about animals that children see only in their school books or on TV.
The society is too quick to judge Black people. This man educates and entertains children. He does a great job!
Plus, how the hell do they think someone on crack could afford a kangaroo, it’s not like you can just pick one up at the corner store.
